Emory Alliance Credit Union has been dedicated to serving our
members since 1968. Not only are we committed to the financial
needs of our membrs, but also to giving back and being an active
partner in our community.
Below are some community organizations that Emory Alliance Credit Union is proud to support:
Children's Miracle Network Hospitals
More than 10 million kids enter a children’s hospital like Children's
Healthcare of Atlanta across North America every year. To provide the best care for kids,
children’s hospitals rely on donations and community support, as Medicaid and insurance
programs do not fully cover the cost of care. Since 1983, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals
has helped fill those funding gaps by raising more than $5 billion, most of it $1 at a time through
Miracle Balloon icon campaigns. Its various fundraising partners and programs support the nonprofit’s
mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Chris 180 helps children, young adults, and families through mental health counseling at their
CHRIS Counseling Center, group homes for abused and neglected children in foster care, adoption services
,a Drop-In Center for homeless young adults, and a supportive housing program for single and parenting youth,
ages 17-24, who are homeless or have aged out of the foster care system, and in home programs that strengthen
families. Our holistic approach enables children, youth and families to change the direction of their lives
and become self-sufficient, contributing adults despite challenging circumstances. We are excited to partner with an organization so deeply rooted in the Greater Atlanta area.
Every year, the Decatur YMCA hosts an event called the Angel
Tree to give back to the children in the community for the
holidays. Emory Alliance Credit Union receives a list of
children to "adopt" and, with the help of our employees, provide
them with gifts to unwrap for Christmas. In addition to the
Angel Tree, we are excited to sponsor different Decatur YMCA
events throughout the year.
FODAC is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to provide free
or low-cost wheelchairs, vehicle modifications, home adaptations, and
other gently used home medical equipment for disabled adults and
children to improve their overall quality of life.
Decatur Cooperative Ministry
Since 1969, Decatur Cooperative Ministry's (DCM) mission has
helped families facing homelessness settle into safe, stable
homes and build healthy lives filled with peace, hope and
opportunity. Today, DCM offers homelessness prevention and
alleviation services along the continuum of homeless services. To
do so, they partner with congregations, foundations,
universities, schools, government agencies, community groups and
local businesses all around the Greater Atlanta area. Each year,
we collect canned and dry goods for Decatur Cooperative Ministry
at our free Shred Days. Visit our News page for the next Shred
Day and Food Drive.
Toys for Tots
Emory Alliance Credit Union is teaming up with the U.S. Marine Corps to help children in need this holiday season through the Toys for Tots program. Now and until December 20, Emory ACU will be collecting toys in all three branch locations. Members and non-members are encouraged to donate a new, unwrapped toy. Emory ACU staff will be donating and collecting the toys and dropping them off on Thursday, December 20th. All toy donations will benefit children and families across the Greater Atlanta area. We are an official drop site for Toys for Tots! In November and December, stop by any of our branches and drop off a new, unwrapped toy for underpriveleged children in the Greater Atlanta area. www.toysfortots.org
