Emory Alliance CU is committed to helping students and parents to prepare for their biggest challenge, obtaining financial aid for education.
With the recently enacted Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Act of 2010 (H.R. 4872), all Federal Stafford, PLUS and Consolidation loans will be processed through the William D. Ford Direct Loan Program. As a result of this new law, effective July 1, 2010, all private lenders, including Emory Alliance Credit Union will no longer have a role in originating or funding these loans.
If you are applying for a Stafford or PLUS loans and the loan is for
an academic term that will begin on or after July 1, 2010, you should
contact the financial aid office at your school or the school your
dependant student is attending or go to
http://www.studentloans.gov/DirectLoan for additional assistance.
If you are applying for a Consolidation loan, you should contact the
William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program by calling 1-800-557-7395 or
go to
http://www.loanconsolidation.ed.gov.

Great Lakes will continue to service all of the Stafford, PLUS, and Consolidation Loans that Emory Alliance CU has funded over the years. If you currently have a loan with Great Lakes, you can securely access your account information with IBIS (Internet Borrower Inquiry Service),24-hours a day, 7-days a week. To use this service, simply go to www.mygreatlakes.com and register or call 1-800-236-4300.
